Yes, I know Christmas just got over and New Year’s Day isn’t until tomorrow, but Carol Sayles, one of the students in the Zigzag Pizzazz class I taught a few weeks ago for Westside Quilters of Hillsboro, OR, sent me a photo of her wall hanging. (The photo is is slightly distorted from the camera angle). Students had a choice of hearts, stars, circles, or squares as appliqué motifs. Carol chose to work with hearts only for a Valentine-themed piece. I don’t know what she’s going to title it, but I’m calling it “Valentine Pizzazz.” Carol features both straight and curved Satin Stitch Bars, Automatic Satin Stitch Beads, Drizzle, and Transparency with Chicken Scratch. I’m so excited someone finished a piece already. Carol still has to quilt the top and plans to do a faced edge. She expects to finish in time for this Valentine’s Day. Yay, Carol!
