I received notice my submission to the Fresh Fibers exhibition at the Sherwood Center for the Arts has been accepted. There will be a gala reception with live music by Jason Okamoto and refreshments on April 14th between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. The opening of the exhibition coincides with the Old Time Sherwood Spring Artwalk so should be fun and full of all kinds of art work. Maps of participating galleries are available at the show. The exhibition itself runs between April 14th and July 15th, 2016. Below is the “Z is for Zinnia, Cosmos is for Cosmos” piece I recently showed at The Oregon Garden Stitches in Bloom show. I thought it fit the Fresh Fibers theme well, and apparently, so did the curators. 
I was also pleased my STiTCH colleague Mary Telford had a wonderful wall hanging accepted–also one she showed at Stitches in Bloom.
