You may recall I participated in a challenge among quilters in the United States, Japan, and South Korea. Thirty quilters in each country created 20″ quilts based on a chosen world heritage site, such as the Grand Canyon or the Statue of Liberty. I chose Chartres Cathedral in France. I wish I could say I was able to see the 90-quilt exhibit when I was recently in Seoul, but the show was no longer there. It is now here for the first time in the US and will be at the Emerald Art Center in Springfield, Or.
Our US coordinator, Linda Steller, created a beautiful poster to advertise the show which as shown will be between December 5, 2018 to January 5, 2018. The artists’ reception is Friday, December 8th between 5:00 and 8:00 pm.
