We covered more ways to correct problem photos. This involves using the adjustment layers. Some filters within this tool correct the entire photo. For example, if your photo has a blue cast, you can use a warming filter, with three to choose from. There are also three cooling filters. I don’t have any photos with this issue, but I do have two from a recent 30th birthday celebration for my nephew’s wife. The bank of windows behind the family members are so bright they are in shadow.
Of course, there’s a way to correct this. I used the Quick Selection tool to select the figures from the rest of the photo. Then I adjusted only them. Here are my originals followed by the “fixes.”

Here are all four family members. This photo was more challenging, because I had to do two separate selections and corrections.

Nick, Conor, Tadhg, and Sam
Here they are looking, maybe not perfect, but better. I think with more practice, my corrections will improve. I might mention my niece, Meredith, brought child-size gardening gloves for the boys. She works at Ace Hardware. The boys loved them.
